Universidad Politecnica de Valencia is comprised of eight schools and faculties on three campuses. The university specializes in technology, engineering, science, and mathematics. UPV is the only Spanish technological university and is ranked as one of the top universities worldwide.
Universidad Politecnica de Valencia is located in Valencia, Spain, a city of around 807,000. It is located on the shore of the Mediterranean. Spain is a constitutional monarch and has been a member of the EU since 1986. Spain has 45 million visitors a year. Its diverse history of Roman, Gothic, and Moorish inhabitants have each left a distinct mark on Spanish culture, which helps to draw in tourists. Spain is legendary for its fiestas and bullfights. Valencia has the Font Roja and the Sierra de Mariola national parks, areas of great landscape and ecological value. There is also the city of Alcoy, its modernist route, museums, monuments and its famous Feast of Moors and Christian's festivities.

Before going abroad, you will need to investigate the courses available at potential host institutions. OSU students studying abroad must take at least the equivalent of 12 OSU credit hours during their exchange semester. Please be sure to read the course descriptions provided by the host institution and compare them to your coursework at OSU.
OSU students studying at Universidad Politecnica de Valencia have taken courses in science, technology, architecture, industrial, civil, mechanical, and agricultural engineering, computer science, and more! Students participating in a reciprocal exchange program must have completed at least 45 credit hours and have a cumulative 3.0 GPA or above at the time they intend to participate.

The university offers accommodation recommendations for exchange students. For more information, please refer to the host university website. Additionally, there is a search engine for private housing.
Students studying for 90 days or more are required to obtain a student visa or residency permit. Please refer to the website of the embassy or consulate to obtain visa information. The Spanish Consulate in Houston will process visas for all Oklahoma State University students. An appointment and visit to the consulate in Houston is required. All requirements must be strictly followed and all materials must be presented during your visa meeting.
