Program Description:
UPC is a private university located in the city of Lima, Peru founded on January 5 of 1994 . The university has 4 campuses located throughout the city of Lima, with a total student enrollment of more than 15,000. The university offers courses in many disciplines and focuses on hands-on, classroom learning with real world experiences. 
UPC is located in Lima, Peru, a city of around 7.6 million.  It is located in the valleys of the Chillon, Rimac and Lurin rivers; on a coast overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Lima is the capital and largest city in Peru. The country is divided into 25 regions and its' multiethnic population reaches nearly 28 million inhabitants.  Peru possesses 84 of the 104 recognized ecosystems of the world.  Sixty percent of its land is covered by the Amazon jungle.

Before going abroad, you will need to investigate the courses available at potential host institutions. OSU students studying abroad must take at least the equivalent of 12 OSU credit hours during their exchange semester. Please be sure to read the course descriptions provided by the host institution and compare them to your coursework at OSU. 

OSU students studying at UPC have taken courses in Spanish, social sciences, humanities, the sciences, and more. All courses are taught in Spanish; students must have solid proficiency to attend. Click here for more information on course offerings. Students participating in a reciprocal exchange program must have completed at least 45 credit hours and have a cumulative 3.0 GPA or above at the time they intend to participate.

The university will provide exchange students with various options for accommodation.

Visa Information
Students studying for 90 days or more are required to obtain a student visa or residency permit. Please refer to the website of the embassy or consulate to obtain visa information. The university will in assist in visa issuance.
