Program Description:
UPAEP1


UPAEP2UPAEP offers 42 undergraduate programs and has a student body of around 11,000.  Students have the opportunity to be part of a number of activities such as self-awareness and personal growth workshops, artistic and cultural events, workshops aimed at health issues, as well as leisure, social and sporting activities.



Location
UPAEP is located in Puebla, Mexico, a city of around 1 million.  It is situated 60 miles southeast of Mexico City.  Mexico is a federal republic dividided into 31 states and one federal district (Mexico City).  Mexico is known for its beautiful beaches, friendly people, and diverse ecological landscapes.  Puebla is surrounded by mountains, enormous volcanoes, and forests.

Courses
UPAEP3Before going abroad, you will need to investigate the courses available at potential host institutions. OSU students studying abroad must take at least the equivalent of 12 OSU credit hours during their exchange semester. Please be sure to read the course descriptions provided by the host institution and compare them to your coursework at OSU. 

OSU students studying at UPAEP have taken courses in the humanities, Spanish, social sciences, health sciences, business, engineering, communications, agronomy, animal science, zoology, and more!

Cathedral-PueblaRequirements
Students participating in a reciprocal exchange program must have completed at least 45 credit hours and have a cumulative 3.0 GPA or above at the time they intend to participate.

Housing
The university offers two options for accommodation including dormitories and host families. For more information, please refer to the host university website.

Visa Information
Students studying for 180 days or more are required to obtain a student visa or residency permit. Please refer to the website of the embassy or consulate to obtain visa information. Generally, U.S. students studying for one semester do nor require a visa.
