The university, which has about 24,200 students, offers the majority of its courses in French, although its students speak multiple languages. The university offers a multitude of courses at its 3 campuses located in and around Brussels. 

Universite Libre de Bruxelles is located in Brussels, Belgium, the country's capital and largest city. Brussels is the administrative center of the European Union and headquarters of the European Union and offers great opportunities to travel across Europe. Belgium has three official languages: Dutch in the north, French in the south, and German along the eastern border. The country is known world-wide for its cuisine -- most famous are Belgian waffles, chocolate and beer.

Before going abroad, you will need to investigate the courses available at potential host institutions. OSU students studying abroad must take at least the equivalent of 12 OSU credit hours during their exchange semester. Please be sure to read the course descriptions provided by the host institution and compare them to your coursework at OSU. 

OSU students studying at Universite Libre de Bruxelles can take classes Intensive French courses. Click here for more information on all course offerings, though French fluency is required.
Students participating in a reciprocal exchange program must have completed at least 45 credit hours and have a cumulative 3.0 GPA or above at the time they intend to participate.
