Program Description:

Initially known as "Fudan Public School", Fudan University was founded in the year 1905. "Fudan", literally meaning "(heavenly light shines) day after day", indicates inexhaustible self-reliance and industriousness. Fudan consists of 28 schools and departments, with seventy undergraduate disciplines.  Fudan now has an enrollment of 26,362 full-time degree candidates. Another 18,664 are studying at the schools of Continuing Education and Online Education. The university's population of foreign students is around 3,600.

Location
Shanghai is the largest city by population of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) and the largest city proper by population in the world. It is one of the four province-level municipalities of the PRC, with a total population of over 23 million as of 2010. It is a global city, with influence in commerce, culture, finance, media, fashion, technology, and transport. It is a major financial center and the busiest container port in the world. Located in the Yangtze River Delta in eastern China, Shanghai sits at the mouth of the Yangtze River in the middle portion of the Chinese coast.

Fudan1Courses
Before going abroad, you will need to investigate the courses available at potential host institutions. OSU students studying abroad must take at least the equivalent of 12 OSU credit hours during their exchange semester. Please be sure to read the course descriptions provided by the host institution and compare them to your coursework at OSU. OSU students studying at Fudan can take Chinese language courses, as well as study the following subjects: economics, business, marketing, history, sociology, philosophy, political science, computer science, and more! Requirements
Students participating in a reciprocal exchange program must have completed at least 45 credit hours and have a cumulative 3.0 GPA or above at the time they intend to participate.

Fudan3Visa Information
Students studying for 90 days or more are required to obtain a student visa or residency permit. Please refer to the website of the embassy or consulate to obtain visa information. You are encouraged to work with Ms. Vivian Wang at Oklahoma State University for visa assistance.
