Location
Augsburg, Germany is a city of over 300,000 inhabitants. It is one of the oldest cities in Germany, founded more than 2000 years ago by the Roman Emperor Augustus and the third largest city in Bavaria. Germany is the 7th largest country in area in Europe, with a total area of 356,970 sq. km. The earliest inhabitants of Germany were the wandering hunters and gatherers about 400,000 years ago. Germany has 3 major natural regions: a lowland plain (north), an area of uplands (central), and a mountainous area (south).
