Program Description:
With 5000 students, the Augsburg University of Applied Sciences is the largest in Bavarian's Swabia region. With over 140 professors and more than 260 tutors, the latest teaching methods and equipment are used to provide students with the best education in science, technology and the arts.  The central position of Augsburg makes this university an ideal focal point for creating a communication network between the economy, society and politics. The fact that Augsburg is conveniently situated in the heart of Bavaria makes it an attractive location for both business and research.

Augsburg, Germany is a city of over 300,000 inhabitants. It is one of the oldest cities in Germany, founded more than 2000 years ago by the Roman Emperor Augustus and the third largest city in Bavaria. Germany is the 7th largest country in area in Europe, with a total area of 356,970 sq. km. The earliest inhabitants of Germany were the wandering hunters and gatherers about 400,000 years ago. Germany has 3 major natural regions: a lowland plain (north), an area of uplands (central), and a mountainous area (south). Bavaria in the south is well-known for its automobile industry, the Oktoberfest celebration, and its breathtaking countryside.
