Geology of The BahamasThe Bahamas 2018

Location: The Bahamas
Courses: GEOL 1014, 4990, or 5990 - 4 credit hours
Travel Dates: January 6 - 13, 2018
Course Dates: November 20 - March 31, 2018


Travel to the Bahamas for Winter Break! Fly to Andros Island, and enjoy several activities as you learn about Island Geology. Activities included visits to Fresh Creek, Androw Well Field, as well as trips to Joulter's Cay and West Side Tidal Flats. Earn 4 hours of credit while you stay in tropical warm weather during one of our coldest months of the year!

Course Costs:                
Tuition and Fees: $2,100
     (includes $300 deposit billed at the time of enrollment).
     (This tuition amount could possibly increase after July 1 if OSU tuition increases).
     *Airfare is NOT included in the tour costs. Flights are estimated at $600-$800.

The costs include tuition and fees, travel insurance, 3 meals a day, lodging, excursions, and transportation. The costs do not include passport, and any miscellaneous costs a student might wish to incur. Also any additional fees for possible scuba diving, if certified, are not included.

To enroll: Contact Shane O'Mealey in the Arts and Sciences Outreach office to set up an appointment and be accepted into the program.   405-744-5647.  All applicants must have an appointment to travel on the course. You can begin your course application, but you will not be able to proceed without an appointment.
