Program Description:

Congratulations on taking the first step toward studying on the National Student Exchange! Please read the instructions below to better understand the application and selection procedure. 

Your Application should include:

  • Online Application at
  • Official transcript of all work completed after high school
  • Reference forms (3 - one must be from an academic advisor)
  • $300 non-refundable application fee charged to Bursar’s account 

Application deadlines:

February 15 is the final date for priority consideration, for both fall and spring semesters. Applications received after this date will be considered after priority placements have been made. Notification of placement will be made after the placement conference normally in mid-March.


Applications for Fall 2020, Spring 2021, and the 2020-2021 Academic Year should be submitted electronically at .  Once that step is completed, an additional application will be created is this portal.  This is why an 'Apply Now' button does not appear on this page.


Placement Acceptance:

If you are chosen for the National Student Exchange program, your name will be submitted to one or more of your designated universities at the NSE Placement Conference held in mid-March.

Host Application:

If you are accepted at one of your chosen universities, you will be asked to complete that institution’s application.  Final acceptance rests with your host university.

Unique Programs:



Applications can be accepted after February 15.  However, many institutions are very competitive and placement at these institutions require applications be submitted on or before the deadline.
